AirAsia India operates 9 flights with fully vaccinated pilots, cabin crew
AirAsia India on Friday operated nine flights with a fully vaccinated crew, including cabin crew and pilots.
The sectors flown by the crew included Bengaluru-Kolkata, Kolkata-Bengaluru, Bengaluru-Chennai, Chennai-Guwahati, Guwahati-Bengaluru, Bengaluru-Pune, Pune-Jaipur, Jaipur-Pune and Pune-Bengaluru, the airline said in an official statement.
The operating crew members on these sectors have received both doses of Covid-19 vaccine.
“The operating crew members on these sectors are fully vaccinated, having received both doses in line with guidelines from health authorities and after going through all the mandatory tests and are certified by the Chief Medical Officer, Dr Sangeeta Kujur,” it added.
The airline has been conducting free vaccination drives for all its employees and their family.
“AirAsia India became the first airline in India to announce that 99.5 per cent of its guest-facing operational staff including pilots, cabin crew, security, ground Staff, and catering operations had been inoculated with their first doses,” the statement said.
As of June 4, Vistara too had given at least the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine to around 99 per cent of their eligible employees.
